What an adventure. We found pine cones, bean seeds from the shaky things, acorns, a few squirrels, lots of dog poop ("More Poop Mama"), and two sticks; one for moving tumbleweeds and one for writing in the mud.
A few weeks ago Kyndra asked me one of her great questions, "Where is the river going?" I explained that sometimes rivers go into bigger rivers, or down waterfalls, or gets stopped by dams, but eventually the water makes it's way to the ocean. She listened and took it all in. Today while we were throwing "Pooh Sticks" off the bridge I asked if she remembered where the water goes. She said, "It goes to the ocean after it gets stopped by the dam waterfalls." No kidding! I love it!
She got a little tired on the way back and I tried giving her a piggy back ride but I kept getting poked in the face with the tumble weed and the mud sticks. Boaz was getting frustrated by the pace near the end and howled at us the whole way down our block.
I love my walks for lots of reasons and I am just thrilled to share them with my girls.

Those are the memories to cherish! Kyndra may be quiet a lot of the time, but when she speaks, you better be ready to listen. Sometimes, you just need another pair of eyes to give you a different perspective of the same walk you take everyday...take time to smell the roses.
We are hooked on Blogging. These stories are so much better than TV. mom and dad
