Does a pretend mom make them cry brushing out the tangles of their hair?
Does she make them clean up the toys all over the floor before getting more out?
Does she make them finish their dinner before getting a snack?
Would a pretend mom get fed up with all the crying and whining?
Does she let them play on the comptuer, even though there is still work to be done?
Does she let them wear the same outfit day after day, no matter how dirty it is?
What about the 5 squares of toilet paper rule?
Does she have unlimited patience?
I am home all week with my girls and am thinking maybe I'll try to do more of the things that their pretend mom might do. Like bake cookies, let them stay in their pj's for as long as they'd like, sit and dress the tiny Polly Pocket dolls in their tiny clothes and teeny shoes, or take the time to sit and play even when there is more to be done around the house.
We are on Spring Break! Now is the time to enjoy them before we get caught up again in our busy lives. Now, I am going to go ask my pretend daughters if they would like some cream and sugar in their tea.

please tell my pretend granddaughters 'hi' and that I am pretending they are here playing with me tonight.
I like the mom they have right now! Pretend girls don't whine and cry. We might have to come and play with the pretend mom and pretend daughters to get tips on how to play pretend! I still draw the line at the Polly Pockets play! Yikes! Have a great week! Take time to enjoy every day!
Love this post... I have thoughts like that all the time... about being a "pretend" mom. Hope you enjoyed every minute of your time with your beautiful, precious girls! I'm sure they enjoyed having you around all week!
