Farewell April

I took the day off today to spend it with the girls.

First we went to pick out a "new" toy at Wal-Mart because they let me "sale" some of their old toys at a garage sale this weekend. They both picked out 3 Hot Wheels, go figure. I let them pick out some new sunglasses, looking at the display of Dora, Princess, and Cars glasses. They both picked out Hot Wheels sunglasses, go figure. Then, we picked out new toothburshes....Avery got a red Hot Wheels toothbrush with yellow, Kyndra a black Hot Wheels toothbrush with red, go figure!

Then we went to the levy for a bike ride and picnic. We had only made it a little bit when I stopped Kyndra to take her picture with Skywishes in her front-pack when Avery went screaming by us....literally! We were on a slight hill and she froze and forgot how to brake her bike! She was terrified and screaming at the top of her lungs. I took off running after her and caught her just before she careened off the levy, which is actually quite a drop-off. We had a good cry, then tried again. It was snails-pace from there on out. There were times that Kyndra was so far ahead of us I couldn't even see her. It's so fun seeing her ride without training wheels.

This is what I had in mind when deciding to work part time. These are the days we'll remember. April has flown by and almost every weekend/week in May is scheduled out of town for either Joe or I. I am enjoying TODAY, this last day in April, and hope you are all doing the same.

I am sad to see my calendar turn to May, I liked the April layout so much. So, I am going to put it up here where I can still look at it :o) Can't wait to get some of those dutch-oven cinnamon rolls again!
