They were here, now they are gone. When we have Mom and Dad come watch the kids it doesn't seem like I get to spend much time with them. Mom and I got a couple of walks. I heard about what is going on with Grandpa. I can't help at all but I know there isn't really any expectation that I can "fix" it.
The girls had a great time and were "good" for Grandma and Papa. Once again I heard, "she doesn't act like that for us." Well, bully for you! No, seriously. I am happy that they are good for other people. I am proud that our parenting struggles show positive results when we are not around watching. The girls told some great stories to Grandma. They helped clean up the cabin, Avery packed the car and Kyndra vacuumed the whole place.
Kyndra told Mom all about how she can sometimes "see two of the same thing, sometimes four." Then she showed her how she makes her eyes go crosseyed. And went on to talk about how she does this when she is daydreaming. "I can tell which one is real, though." So, that is what she is doing when I am trying to get her attention! Humm, just what I need, another thing to worry about.
Avery surprised Mom on how quickly she can relate one situation to another. She is smart, that's for sure. That is why she has me wired, and knows all the buttons to push to send me through the roof. I know she is playing me but I can't help it. The little stinker! I am going to make it my goal tomorrow to get a picture of her little face when she is whining and pouting, complete with her arms crossed over her chest, wrapped all the way around to her back!
Crossed eyes, gumby arms, and dementia, Oh My!
Loved that Mom and Dad came out. Loved the time together. Loved being at the beach. Loved driving in the other car on the way home! (Hee Hee, sorry Mom) Love you both!
