I knew it!

As Heather and I were driving to the Tri-Cities to go shopping on Saturday I let it slip that the girls have been pretty healthy this winter. As soon as the comment left my mouth I knew I had made a mistake. I tried knocking on wood, but there wasn't any! Little did I know Kyndra was at home with a 103 degree fever. Dang it anyway. I know better than that! My dad taught me better than that!

Seriously, does anyone else have superstitions? I clearly remember my dad turning the car around and going a different route when a black cat crossed in front of our car. He still puts a glass of water in the window sill when it is raining out (it makes the sun come out dontcha know). I refuse to watch sporting events because the team I want to win will lose. It's true! The Beavers were in double overtime the other night and I left the room...sure enough, they got a touchdown!

So, back to the top, Kyndra has strep, my best friend is in the hospital on IV, AJ will have strep in a matter of days, and Joe is sneezing. All because I had to mention that the kids were pretty healthy this winter. When will I learn??????

If my team wins, I make sure I wear that same coaching shirt the next game (after washing of course). When I wore my Duck jersey they lost, so I didn't wear it for the Civil War game. But hey, they lost anyway. I think everyone is superstitious to some extent. Sorry to hear about all the sickies - at least you will get it over with before the holidays!
