A room for a Princess

On Sunday we started tearing down the bunk bed and moving things out of Kyndra's room so I could paint. Here's a tip: if you want to get rid of unused, lost, and forgotten about, things just move all the furniture out of a child's bedroom. Anyway, I went down and bought paint and brushes, dug out some t-shirts, and the girls and I got right to work.
I admit to being a messy painter, so I meticulously taped and laid out sheets on the carpet. My mom and Joe usually do the edging and I get the parts that you can be messy. I realized in the first hour that edging is hard and that I timed this project all wrong, Mom and Dad are coming next month! What was I thinking?
"Be careful your not touching the wall when you paint, Avery."

"Oh, well, I guess that works."

Things were moving along just dandy last night. The white walls were painted white, the walls that are going to be pink were primed, I was outlining some cool flowers..."who needs Mom and Joe? I can do this all by myself! I'm not so messy after all!"
"Joe, Joe, Joe! HELP!"

"Oops, I had left the open can of very full, very pink paint on the floor, on a sheet even. Evidentially, a sheet won't keep spilled paint from getting to the carpet, who knew? I went to pick it up and tipped it ever so slightly and it spilled a big glob on the floor. Not knowing what else to do I scooped up the paint with my hands and got the sides of the bucket cleaned up a bit as I was yelling for Joe. He found me with very pink hands and a big mess. Here's a tip: Raspberry Fizz paint comes out of carpet really good if your husband shampoos it right away!
Here is my vision. The white walls will have pink flowers, the pink walls will have white flowers. I think I need another colored flower here and there. I think I'll "delete" a couple of flowers I have traced and put them closer together. I think this is a lot of work. I think this is a lot of fun. I think I am a messy painter. I think I do need Joe's help after all. Thanks Joe!

What else is a girl to do if she doesn't have pockets? I agree, you need another color flower - raspberry fizz is so pink! Love it Stacy.
