I have just kept the longest secret of my LIFE! I'm not a good liar, nor do I keep things from Ronda. Two months ago, Beth, Ronda's friend from Melody Mountain Camp 19 years ago, contacted Lindsay and I saying she wanted to come surprise Ronda. I scoured Ronda's work calendar to find when would be best and Beth got the tickets. That was 2 months ago!
Since then, we have all been nervously working out the details. My friend from college, Lucy, is planning a career change (this part is true), and I told Ronda she was coming to see me while between jobs (this part wasn't true) and would she come with me to the airport. Somehow, Lindsay and I had to come up with a reason we should pick Lindsay up on the way to the airport. Miraculously, between then and now, between the IKEA and Madras trips, between lots if instant messaging and e-mails and whispers while Ronda wasn't looking, Lindsay and Mack were joining us on our treck to the airport (in the Tri-Cities).
That evening while shopping there was lots of giggling about never meeting a real "Lucy" since Lindsay is also referred to as "Lucy, Lucy, Lucy!" by a friend. Lots of stories were told about Lucy and I in college, all true, I might add. And anxiety, lots of anxiety! I didn't ever realize what lying will do to your insides, and secrets! I am so thinkful I don't have many because they eat me up! Okay...this didn't seem to bother Lindsay much.....what's that about??? ***lol***
At the airport, I was chewing my nails and lips and Lindsay was filming Ronda talking about meeting "Lucy" for the first time! Finally, the plane landed and I started shooting pictures of "Lucy" coming off the plane. Ronda whispered to me, "Is that Lucy?" "Unnhnnn," was all I could muster. "Lucy looks a lot like Beth," she muttered as she was shooting pictures. All of a sudden....realization....shock....comprehension....amazement!
***sigh*** Somehow, through two sick grandmas, winter storms, lost luggage, and lots of story telling, Beth is here! And this is where my story leaves off and Ronda's picks up. Thanks for the adventure, Beth and Lindsay! So lucky to have you both as my new friends!

That's awesome. I can't wait to hear about the visit.
Ohh...I'm not sure I could keep a secret that long. I am VERY impressed. If I ever need a 'helper' or set of helpers I'll keep you girls in mind!
Stacy~ What a wonderful surprise for Ronda! It was fun hearing the story and meeting Beth last night. You and Lindsay are such great friends to help with the arrangements.
