After 5 cases of strep throat already in 2008, it was time to get those tonsils out of there! Al is well, she is sleeping soundly. Here is our adventure today:
We were all grateful that Landon paved the way with his tonsils about a month ago. He came over last night and brought Kyndra flowers and did a great job not sharing too much information with her on the eve of her surgery. Thank you guys for sharing with Kyndra how "easy peasy" tonsillectomy's are.
I had told Avery that she wasn't going to get everything (food wise) that Kyndra was going to get in the next week or so. She said, "I know, maybe just half." Tonight I had a weak moment and let AJ keep pace on the pop-cicles, ice cream and milkshakes. Little did I know that she would be bouncing off the walls jabbering our ears off all evening! I learned my lesson, it won't happen again, but it was pretty amusing.

wow! way to go Kendra!!!
Oh my gosh- how CUTE! Dr. Neal took out my tonsils many moons ago. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of 'daddy'- those eyes tell quite a story. And the "I can just have half" comment...so cute! ;)
It seems as if that beautiful smile never left her face. I hope she gets to enjoy many more healthy moments now :)
I'm with Athena... she looks GREAT the entire time!
Way to document this life changing experience with such great pictures!
Here's to a QUICK recovery Kyndra!
glad things went smoothly!
Sept. 13, 3 days since surgery. We have been told that 'our girl' is still smiling, well, except when she has to swallow a certain medicine, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that day 4,5,6 brings more smiley faces and sunshine for Kyndra Lyn. Poppa wishes he were there to share the milkshakes!
What a brave girl!! Glad things went smoothly, and I hope she feels good soon!
Yeah...I've been tonsils free since I was 21...best thing I ever pushed Dr.'s to do for me.
So glad that the hard part is over! Now, it's smooth sailing, at least the soft food she eats will go down smoothly.
