Shopping Trip

Monday morning was a fiasco because this little girls clothes are either too loose, too tight, too short, too long, too red, too blue, too something!
She really is out of clothes that fit her "just right."
I have to insert here that "just right" for Kyndra is much more strictly defined than what is "just right" for Avery.
She knows what she likes...and that's the way she likes it.
She likes "soft pants" and no jeans allowed!
Just the two of us went for a road trip to the nearest mall (75 miles away) and had a great day.
We got off to an early start.
So early that we "had" to stop at Starbucks and wait for the mall to open.
Ok, so she was already done with the pictures before we left Starbucks.
Remember when trying on clothes was fun?
We found some great buys...at the last of 5 stores...that fit the criteria:
not too lose
not too tight
not too long
not too short
soft
and NOT High School Musical (that's mine)
And what is a day of shopping without some candy for the road?

Those are the EXACT same criteria for my Taryn. Hold on to your hat...because as your Kyndra gets bigger, finding 'those' clothes gets harder. It is hard to find nice, soft, cotton pants in a size 10. The newest 'best' pants we can usually find are athletic/sweat pants. Unfortunately lots of them have words on the butt (Something I don't like.) or they are Nike and they can cost a fortune. :-( Please tell me which store was #5!

Yeah for you and Kyndra for sneaking off together. I keep meaning to have one on one dates with my girls and it is just hard to fit in. I'm so glad you were able to find some "just right" clothes.

That is too funny and sweet, Stace. My brother used to be the same way (probably still is, but he buys his own clothes now) and I remember Mom having to take him shopping every time so he could feel the inside of EVERYTHING to make sure it was soft enough - absolutely no jeans, lots of sweats tho.
Shelby has gotten to the stage that when she needs something that she doesn't have, she looks in my closet, tho my clothes are often "too old" for her, she steals my shoes, belts, dressier stuff, socks, nylons, etc.
Then again, if she doesn't like something, yet has worn it a couple of times, I get it. Maybe it is out of style or whatever, but what do I care really - :)
Love your blogs and glad you had a great day shopping with your baby girl.
