After staring at our pumpkins for several days the girls finally talked me into carving a couple of them.
These were the ones that they got from school.
True to form, Avery started chopping away...
and Kyndra couldn't decide what to do.
Luckily there's an "app" for that.
Does anyone else just cringe when their kids are digging away at their pumpkins?
Does anyone else see blood spurting out of severed fingers and gashes in arms?
I don't mind this tool, it just makes dots where you want to carve.
Somehow none of that happens, they get through their carving unscathed.
It might just be easier not to watch.
Two down, four more pumpkins to carve.
I guess the mess should have been made all in one night.
What was I thinking?

Ugh... I love having Jack-o'Lanterns... but I do not like the carving bit. Last year Marc let Grace use his drill and the dry-wall saw... it was fast and neat. I am hoping for a nice day on Friday when we are home from school.

Hey girls - cute pumpkins!! We haven't carved ours yet (they were approxmately $10-12 each). Last year they had green fuzzy stuff growing on them within a day, so we are going to hold off till Friday! Happy Haunting!

Yes, carving pumpkins makes me really nervous too. That is totally Tony's department.
