Bob's response...

Remember my post Influence?  Well, Bob and I had a few emails back and forth about it this past week.  I'm honored that he sent it on to some friends and family.  I'm surprised some of them even commented.  I love this particular paragraph from him (remember he was a HS English teacher):

What is a blog? A circle of friends? I come from another age. I don't know what a blog is. Somebody who can't spell clog. Dog. Fog. Is it a verb? I blog, you blog we blog. Blog, blogged, blogging. I have been blogged. Is that correct usage? Adverb bloggy? I have had a bloggy day. Adjective: blog. blog(g)ier, blog(g)iest.  Have you ever had a blogier day? Present participle. Blogging away, the computer quit. And so on. I don't want to know what a twitter is.

I'm so happy to have reconnected with him.

I love old friends...and by that I really mean old as in they have had LOTS of birthdays. I grew up being very close to my Grandma. I would hang out with she and my grandpa and their friends... I love their stories and respect the years of wisdom that they can offer. I loved that paragraph too. He sounds like a gem.

That needs to be published somewhere big. I can only imagine how people are feeling as people are e-connecting more and more and those "olden" days of communication are fading. His words were perfect!!! I am so glad you have reconnected and you did it in real life :)
