When we left Pendleton I knew we would be hard-pressed to find neighbors like the Fisher family. Once again, though, we have struck gold. Our new neighbors have three kids who the girls play play play with, and I am also feeling like I've found some friends. I admit to feeling a little overwhelmed with 5 kids running like wild banshees through my house and I watch with amazement as my quiet little girls' voices raise to decibels never reached before in order for their ideas for "the game" to be heard.
Last weekend they had a Back to School movie night party.
Kyndra and Aiden have become fast friends.
Avery and Kyndall are almost inseparable.
The movie was on the side of their house projected onto a white sheet.
The moms got to snuggle by a patio fire,
while the kids all snuggled in their sleeping bags.
The next day the girls and I took Grandma B to see the Montana Bale Trail.
Its a "What the Hay" contest where anyone can enter hay-art to be voted on by the masses.
I got such a kick out of the titles of these displays.
This is at the Midway Caf-hay. Travelocity was involved somehow as a sponsor for this hometown event.
This was the girls' favorite.
Did I mention masses?
This one actually moved and played "It's five o'clock somewhere."
It was a good weekend in the sunshine and countryside. I am thinking about the 75,000 people swarming into Pendleton this week for the 100 year Round-up. Part of me wants to be there and part of me is happy to hear about it on Facebook. Have fun everyone! LET'ER-BUCK!
