Finally! Some river fun!

The summer is slipping away and its been one thing or another keeping me off the river.
The rivers are too high.
The river is too low.
The weather is too cold.
The wind is too strong.
Today everything was just right!

We put in at Payola Creek boat launch mostly because we didn't know how long it would take having never run the river before. We drifted in the clear freezing blue water through Glacier National Park for 11 miles before we saw another raft.  Awesome doesn't begin to describe this place...the scenery, the pristine water, the way the green forest and blue sky meet each other above us.

Awesome!

The river started picking up speed at Moccasin Creek where most of the guided floats put in.  This is where I started filming.  You can see by the map that there is a string of Class II, III, and IV rapids.

As always, I giggled most of the way down. I filmed as Tony rowed down this awesome section.  We ran it without mistake and can't wait to take the 3 girls down.

When we come to Montana next summer can we stop by... will you guide us down a river. That looks like SO much fun. I am the only one in my entire family that has ever been white water rafting. I know the girls and Marc would love it too. Enjoy the water!!!!

I wonder what Shadrach would do on the river. Maybe she'll go next time, too.
