Crazy Times

It has just been crazy-busy around here lately and I finally found a minute to sit down and make a post and I get this message telling me my blog has been locked by Blogger's spam-prevention robots. Great.......just great. So, I can make this post and save it as a draft while they review my request to have my blog unblocked. What does that even mean, "spam-prevention robots??" Ho humm.

What a packed week. Monday I had to get the kids to daycare just after 7 a.m. Tuesday was Landon's Birthday - Happy Birthday 5 year old! - then violin, swimming, and Joe coming home. Wednesday was our Regional Ed Tech Cadre. Thursday I hosted Bunco, which I forgot about until someone e-mailed me Monday! I made these taco salad shells that turned out just great.

The kids have been at daycare or with Ronda (thank you Ronda) so much this week that when the window opened today that gave me time to take them swimming I jumped on it. We brought their noodles and life jackets. It is so funny seeing Avery in the water because her legs and bum float. No matter what we try, her face is always ending up in the water because her bum is floating to the surface. So, I just let her monkey off my back in the water.

Kyndra is getting much more comfortable in the pool. Today we were playing a game she learned at swim lessons. She stands on the edge of the pool and pretends to be an apple seed. I splash water on her as she "grows" into a tree holding her hands above her head in the dive position . Then I pretend to chop down the tree and she jumps in. I couple of times I accidentally-on-purpose let her go under. There weren't any tears but I did get repremended.

I was standing in one of the hot tubs and Avery slipped and took a header into the water right in front of me. She came up wide eyed and scared but she was fine. Lucky I was there.

I am just so thankful we are all healthy during this busy time. We are getting through it one day at a time, surrounded by good friends and each other.

Those taco salad shells look yummy! Maybe a Tuesday night dinner? It is a priviledge to be able to watch the kids... we do have fun together! Swim little fishies, swim.
