Cheap Entertainment

Yippie! It's getting to be warm enough to play outside in the driveway, in the dirt, in the water (soon), in the sun. Inside toys and movies are soon to be forgotten for a few months. Landon is the official pooper-scooper, Kyndra is the gate opener, and Avery is the rolly-polly collector. She is afraid of bugs except rolly-pollys and lady bugs. She will stomp, scream, and scram when she sees a "bee," which is loosely defined as anything that is flying. They are already loading up their bug catchers with rolly pollys and the occasional lady bug.

The other day one had found a ladybug and, following the usual scenario, the other was following close behind crying "I want a ladybug, too." This time the prize belonged to Avery who told me it was a "green ladybug." I asked to take a look and, sure enough, it was a green BUG, not ladybug. I wish I had a video camera to catch her reaction when I told her it was just a green beetle. Talk about cheap entertainment!

Together, the kids are quite the team! Can hardly wait for the days of warmth and sunshine when I get to be outside with them! I will have to ask Avery about her green bug! hehe!
