Mother's Day

I have been waiting to write a new post until Mother's Day thinking that I would have some message, story, picture, thought, or something to share. As you can see, Mother's Day has passed, and well, I didn't. That is all there is too it, I just didn't have any insights or stories or even pictures to share. This probably is because we didn't necessarily DO anything or GO anywhere (except go to Wal-Mart but I sincerely hope this doesn't count for much). Joe and I were so tired of being gone from the house and from the kids that we decided just to be home and stay home......together! Now there's a novel concept :o)

We did get a lot done, even though we weren't doing anything. We did the laundry, planted the garden, went grocery shopping, prepped for Monday morning at work, painted a flower pot (love it Ronda!), mowed the lawn, set free 500 ladybugs (give or take), and went for a family "walk". It was two days in a row that our family ate dinner together and went to bed at a reasonable time.

We needed this! Now we can jump back into busy schedules and the constant state of doing with a refreshed attitude. Thank you Ronda and Lon for taking such good care of the girls while we were gone. We would be lost without you guys. I have no worries when they are with you. I know they are safe, happy, and loved!
