Big Girl Room

We finally got around to moving the full bed from the basement into Avery's room. She got new bedding and I painted the red, dark blue, and turquoise squares on her border pink, light blue, and purple to match. We moved all the extra play things that were in her room down to the "playroom." It'll work great once they get used to going down there. AND, I finally got around to hanging those super-cute letters that Pam gave me when she was born. It only took me 3 years but it is done!

I told her that she has a big girl room now and she needs to act like a big girl. Without missing a beat she asked, "if I whine, will you take it away?" I wanted to say yes...I really did, but I knew I'd never follow through.

The room looks cute and I can check one thing off my to do list.

Avery, you are such a big girl! I may have to come and take a rest with you sometime in your new bed! Mommy did a great job painting the blocks to match your new bedding. Way to go Momma!

There is nothing better than a purple bedroom all decorated. Love the border and the decor. I think about doing that kinda of stuff to my kids rooms...I am still thinking about it. Wonder if they will notice if I do it now that they don't live here anymore.
