Vacation Time!

Tomorrow our official Christmas break starts and I tell you, I need it. I have been a raging grump the last week or so. Just ask my girls, they'll tell you, they tell me every single day! Sometime last week we were in a hurry to get somewhere and I just lost it during my usual wait for them to slowly get into the car, play while getting into the car seats, take forever to buckle up, etc. I just lost it. After we were all done crying I told the girls I would try not to yell at them. Well, I haven't made it a day since without "yelling" or raising my voice to them and every day Avery reminds me, "remember you said you wouldn't yell any more?"

That first day in the car, once they were finally buckled in and we were driving, Kyndra gave me this advice, "When you start to feel that your tummy is grumbling to your mouth what you do is shut your mouth really tight, but be careful you don't bite your tongue, and breathe out your nose." I keep forgetting this wonderful advice."

Tonight after Avery's daily question I told her that I need their help. That when I ask them to do something it doesn't mean argue with me and see if I change my mind. Or ignore me and maybe I'll go away. My 3 year old answered with this, "But I help you when I lean over so you can wipe my bum after I go poopie." Gee thanks!

I need a break, I need to go home, I need my mom! Happy holidays everyone. I'll be posting from Grandma's house!

WOW! I remember those days!!! I still get that way, but it was worse when they were littler! I can't remember how many times I found my self apologizing for yelling at them.....
ENJOY your break! Moms always make things better!
