My Job

I walked in the door last night after a long day and this package greeted me.
It was a package full of photographs that documented Grandpa's life.
It greeted me on the same day Grandpa passed away.
I was blessed with this gift of memories when I needed it most.
I found myself crying over the images, wondering how I am ever going to do justice to him.
You see, Mom assiged me the job of putting together the photo collage for Grandpa.
I am honored.
I am scared.
I don't know where to start.
For now, I am going to scan in all the pictures, after that, who knows.
I pray it comes to me because right now I have no clue.
Well, one picture down....time for a break...this is going to be a long weekend.

I feel so thankful for everyone's support after my last post.

You really did help me through the week.

What ever you do, I am certain that the love you feel for your Grandpa will shine through. I am guessing that it will be a wonderful tribute that will bring you joy as you work. It will also bring many blessings to you family as they spend time together remembering this important legacy of your family.

Stacy,
My life has been touched by your grandpa. He and your grandma were wonderful role models of a loving marriage to me when I was in high school. I remember them looking into each others eyes and laughing together.
You were blessed to have such an outstanding man as your grandpa. You will make a wonderful collage, just like your great blogs.
Love and prayers,
California Patty

What a gift your grandfather was - and will continue to be in spirit! I'm thinking of the song Legacy by Nicole Nordman - and even though I don't know your grandpa, I do know he has left a wonderful legacy! Just look at you!

May the trip down memory lane (through photos and conversations) be one that blesses you & your family richly as you celebrate his wonderful life!

Love to you dear friend -

You are just the one for the job. You are so creative and loving; both of these wonderful traits about you will shine in your tribute to your grandpa.
