Fab to be 5!

My "baby" turned 5 yesterday and boy did we celebrate!
The girls and I started by going on a rock hunt.
The idea was that everyone would make a pet rock for their "party favor."
I sent out invites to 14 kids
(expecting maybe 8 to come).
We had 14 kids happily making some rock creations.

While the first coat dried,
the girls played in the girl room,

while the boys wrestled in the man cave.

Our little princess did pretty good opening presents.
She took her sweet time gently opening the paper
and quietly said "thank you" to all her friends
(not that you could hear her over the many voices but I know she tried)
  Ice-cream cake for all
(except those allergic to dairy...they had the special sorbet)

Finished Rock Pals!
Aren't they just great??
I'm still exhausted
but it was worth it to see her smile
(and to actually capture it on film!)

My girl is all grown up.
The last 5 years have just flown by, haven't they?

Happy Birthday Avery...I hope all your birthday wishes come true. The pet rocks are adorable and probably don't leave messes like my new pet.

Love the pictures!

Love that last one of your 5 year old smiling from ear to ear ... I'm sure she's still talking about the fun time she had with all of her friends! :)

It looks like you had a super party!!! Neat idea on the rocks! We will be able to find some cool Okinawa rocks or coral to make creations out of. Can't wait! Love you all!
