In the Doghouse

These boys are in the doghouse....literally!
We have bikes, scooters, big-wheels, garden tools...you name it.
This is where they play.

These four kids have been playing and playing over the last few days. Hunter lives across the street and I just love that he comes over (even tho he walks right in the house) and plays with the girls and Landon. It brings back memories of growing up on Avenue D and all the friends we had on our block. Such great memories: kick the can, hide and seek, big-wheel down the hill, mud pies...you name it. It's fun watching my kids in the process of building some of those same memories.

The Competition

I would be remiss if I didn't post about Landon's "heart" felt drawing for Kyndra. He was in Canada when he heard about Zack professing his love to Kyndra. "But, I love Kyndra!" was his reply. Next thing Ronda knew, he had drawn this picture for Kyndra. I can't remember what is inside the heart, maybe Ronda will, but there is even a drawing of Kyndra and Landon on next to the heart. How sweet. These two are so great together, quite a pair.

Big Zack

So, I was picking up the girls from daycare Friday and Kyndra asked me if she could spend the night at Big Zach's house.
Big Zach just started going to daycare there a week ago. I didn't quite know how to respond but I said, sure, someday, maybe, if I talked to his mom, she could spend the night. After the usual rig-a-marole we go through getting out of there, Big Zach (there is a little Zak as well, he is 2 and we don't call him Little Zach....it's Zachary) followed me to the car. I could tell he wanted to say something so I got down to his level.
"Could her spend the night at my house?"
"Um, well, uh, I don't know, Zach, when were you thinking?"
"At my birthday."
"When is your birthday?"
"June 5."
Whew, I had some time! I honestly didn't think about it again until Monday when Heather told me the rest of the story. Over the weekend he wanted to make a love note for her but couldn't remember her name. His mom drew hearts and helped him write his name and "love" all for Kyndra! Ronda has been out of town and yesterday while we were "chatting" I told her the saga. She, in turn, told Landon who said.....get this:
"But, I love Kyndra."
Not much later, I got an e-mail from Ronda saying that our Landon drew Kyndra a picture with hearts. I mean, geez, Lon DID have them pre-arranged to be married at 6 months of age! What is she thinking getting another boyfriend??? And I always thought it was AJ who would be the heart-breaker!
