Happy New Year!

The three "Tuesday Dinner" families celebrated New Years on Friday night.
We made the dip.
We had pizza.
We played games.
We laughed.
We had champagne.
We made it to 11 o'clock.

Thanks you guys for helping us bring in the New Year.

The next morning, at 7, Heather and I drove to Portland to go shopping.
We hit Gymboee, Gap, Osh Kosh, Carters, Old Navy, and....IKEA!!!
I've never been to an IKEA.
It is a discount Home Depot, Target, and Walkins all rolled into one.
If you've never been to one, here is your supply list:
A guide (ie: someone who can find the way out)
Food
Water
Measurements of every square inch of your home
Tylenol
Band-Aids (or spare shoes)
Cell phone (for each person)
Large vehicle

I survived!
I am a person who is easily overstimulated by:
People
Noise
Choices
Small spaces
Too much STUFF!

I found an awesome bed for Kyndra but first I need to sell her bunkbed.

Any takers??

I want to remodel our....
bedroom
bathroom
dining room
living room
basement
craft room
kitchen
garage

What fun.
What a place.
I can't wait to go back!

Book for Grandpas

I am making these little books from Shutterfly for my and Joe's Grandpa (Shutterfly is associated with Target and I like to pretend we have Target so I'm using it). This one is for Grandpa Thompson who lives in Texas. He is a newlywed! Anyway, I wanted to show this cool preview they give you and share what I am doing so my mom and sister can see. The video is sort of crummy but you get the idea.

I just need Pam to upload her pictures and I'll be on my way to finishing the "Girl" book of the cousins for Grandpa. No pressure, Pam. Just whenever you get time I can finish this and my other projects for the Grandmas. I'd sure like to get one more thing checked off, but no hurry! Update! Pam uploaded pictures now I have to eat my words and get busy. Maybe we could even do some collaborative editing through the Internet waves. Gotta love technology!

Just kidding. She doesn't have time to read this anyway so she won't even get to go on my not-so-subtle guilt trip.

I didn't find anything shopping for all the grandparents but I think this is going to be a good alternative. Grandpa can carry it around and it won't break. Best of all, he can't take it apart.

Who needs shopping when I can do it all from home on my computer! Woo Hoo!

The 12 Pains of Christmas

I'm going shopping tomorrow. I am seriously sitting here almost in tears because I have nothing on my list! I have no idea what I am going to buy people. I can feel my canker sores growing by the minute and I don't know what to buy! This happens to me every single year. I know lots of stuff I want to make for people but it is DECEMBER! There's no time. I should be downstairs right now scrapbooking but instead I'm online trying to find something funny about Christmas shopping.

Breathe Stacy, breathe! I'm sure there is a pill for this but I'm not on it!

This video made me laugh, I hope it does you, too. I'm really not a Scrooge. I love giving, just hate deciding on and shopping for the gifts I am going to give.

Keep me in your thoughts tomorrow. I guess I'll take my purse just in case I find something for someone....anyone!
