10 Things I'm Grateful For

My Mom challenged me to write 10 things I'm grateful for every day to help me keep a perspective on my life. I don't think I'll do it every day, but as I lay awake last night holding Kyndra upright so her coughing suppressed, I formed a list in my head.

Things I'm Grateful for Today
  1. Healthy children
  2. Children's Motrin
  3. Flexible work schedule
  4. Supportive friends
  5. A husband who cleans the litter boxes (he does more but that is ranked pretty high)
  6. A beautiful home
  7. Rafting season (our escapes from reality and technology)
  8. My eyesight (thanks to lasik)
  9. Amazing neighbors
  10. Family (both near and far)
What are you grateful for today? I'd love to hear....

My faith. A past student of ours (Washington) was tbe boy who drowned this weekend trying to rescue another boy. I am praying that their strong faith helps comfort them through this impossibly difficult time.

I heard about this and my heart aches today for both families involved. I'm praying for them, too!

This idea!!! I used to keep a gratitude journal and it always made me feel great to reflect on the day in a grateful manner. I would just get disappointed in myself when I didn't keep up with it like all my other journal attempts. Blogging has been the answer to my need for expression. I am going to try and write a gratitude list on my blog at least once a week.

Thanks for the idea :) I loved reading what you were grateful for.

What a great exercise - helps us see the positive in the little things! I used to do this periodically but haven't in quite a while. I'll post a list on my blog...
Hope you're well! :)
