If I wait long enough, the ball will come to me.
Soccer is going about how I expected it to go for my girl.
She is running her heart out, smiling the entire time, dancing around the ball making contact once in awhile.
I do think that with each game, she kicks it one more time than the last game.
She is loving it and having fun...that is what counts.
Tonight, this was our conversation:
Me: Honey, you need to get in there and kick that ball. Kick it and run after it and kick it again.
Kyndra: Maybe when I play real soccer, I'll kick it all the way down and score.
Me: What do you mean real soccer?
Kyndra: When you play for a trophy, not snacks.
How can you argue with that?

What a GREAT picture... and I love the conversation you had - PRICELESS!! :)
Hope to see you soon friend!!
LOL!! I love it! Never thought about a trophy being more of an incentive than a snack!:) Glad she is loving it!!
Hi Stacy, I came across your blog via Lisa's and check in every now and then to see what your adorable girls are up to. I figured it was time to stop lurking and say hi!
Sue :-)
soo funny!!!
Love the chat :) I wish I could postpone the "real" thing sometimes. I'd rather play for snacks than a trophy anyday.
I think I have that same picture of my Taryn a few years ago. :-) I loved her pespective too. -I'm w/Athena...I'll go about anywhere and do about anything if there are good enough snacks.
We had the same scenario at our house about 25 years ago ...... Lindsay was just like Kyndra .... hesitant to kick the ball but sure did get good exercise running around the field!
